Kerala is situated on the southern border of  India with the Indian Ocean on the south side and the Arabian sea on the western side. often called as gods own country Kerala is full of coconut trees, beautiful beaches, and breathtaking picturesque views of the mountains at various hill stations like Munnar, and Wayanad. Kerala tops the list in terms of literacy with a 100% literacy rate. the culture and history have a touch of British and dutch. I have visited beautiful places twice .first time when I was a teenager, with college friends, and the second time on my honeymoon. The serenity of the land never failed to mesmerize me both times. ideal months to visit Kerala is from November to march.

1. Alleppey/allepuzha:

Alleppey is situated on the banks of lake Vembanad. Alleppey is famous for the houseboat on this huge lake. You can opt for a day-long houseboat stay or a night stay at the houseboat.  If you enjoy peace, the houseboat will give you detox with its beautiful scenery and sumptuous meals provided at the houseboat. If you are opting for a night stay just safeguard yourself from mosquitos. Houseboats are the most romantic place for a Kerala honeymoon package. just explore the beauty to realize that Alleppey is Venice of India indeed.

2. Wayanad-

Situated at a height of 700-2100 meters from sea level, this hill station in Kerala is an ideal honeymoon destination for the nature lover newlywed love birds. This beautiful place is famous for the 3000 years old untouched, lush green forests. Wayanad also has some other places like soochipara falls, Wayanad wildlife sanctuary,kanthanpara waterfalls, etc.

3. Kochi/ Cochin-

Kochi/cochin has been an important port for business for the last 200-300 years. Kochi is a perfect blend of urbanization and rich culture and history with the influence of the dutch and Britishers. Kochi is the industrial, financial, and commercial capital of Kerala.

4. Munnar-

Another tourist favorite hill station of Kerala, Munnar is sure to make you spellbound with the mountains and lush greens. Located at  1600 m above sea level, Munnar is bliss. The cool weather is the same all over the year so Munnar can be visited all year round.

Places like Eravikulam National park,mattupetty dam, cheeyapara waterfalls, TATA tea museum,kundala lake, and blossom park are some of the favorites for tourists arriving in Munnar, Kerala.

5. Kovalam-

When it comes to beaches it’s difficult to decide which has more beauty residing within, goa or Kerala.?

A visit to the Kovalam beach will solve the confusion . it has beauty, charm, and serenity and it will offer you peaceful contentment once you visit them. Some of the beaches to visit are Samudra beach, lighthouse beach,  Havah beach, and Kovalam beach to top the list.

6. Thekkady-

Thekkady is famous as the ‘spice capital of Kerala.’ Thekkady has a lot to offer you, especially the Kerala honeymoon package. you can enjoy shopping for authentic spices, kathakali performances, a kalarippayattu show( an ancient self-defense form), an ayurvedic spa for couples to set the mood right, and last but not least Periyar national park, where you can find different wild animals right in the lap of the nature. Kumarakom is situated on the banks of Vembanad lake. If you want to spend some quality time with your spouse on your honeymoon in solitude, Kumarakom tops the list of such places. Kumarakom has awesome paddy fields, sumptuous local meals, houseboats, and an array of resorts from budgeted ones to super premium luxury resorts. for the ornithologists out there, Kumarakom has the Kumarakom bird sanctuary scattered throughout 14 acres.

These places do not make the list of best  Kerala trip packages complete as every town and village in Kerala is worth exploring.
