  • Crashing frequently

Safari boasts millions of daily users and is one of the fastest web browsers for Mac and iPhone users. Also, the browser is constantly updated with new security patches and features. However, it is not uncommon to encounter Safari crashing.

If Safari freezes when opening, the reason might be a lack of free RAM, too many CPU-intensive tabs open, a malfunctioning Safari extension, or an outdated macOS version.

The freezing problem can be solved by freeing the RAM and closing the unnecessary CPU-intensive tabs. Also, you can remove the extensions that are not functioning correctly and update macOS by going to the System Preferences app.
